Hanson Regan have always been advocates of bringing in students on Work Experience into the business so they can see what the world of work is really like, in particular Recruitment.

Each year we have had some amazing success stories and this year was no different. So far in 2019 we've had 3 students from various schools in the Bromley Borough come and work with our Hanson Regan team for a week undertaking a variety of different tasks plus speaking with our Candidates to get the full recruitment experience in particular helping find people job’s in the SAP and IT industry.

One of the students who recently joined us on his Work Experience programme Bradley Kaluya afterwards sent across the most kindest email with some very positive feedback and has since asked to return to the business between his studies if we ever require additional support.

Unfortunately half of these students are unsuccessful in finding a company to take them on for a week so I can only encourage more employers to get involved with Schools and Colleges in the Work Experience programme. After all we are helping to influence and prepare the youth of today of what goes on in the BIG WIDE WORLD OF WORK and why studies really help them in pursuing their chosen careers.

I'm writing to you today to thank you and your team for allowing to undertake my work experience placement at your company. Initially I found quite daunting especially on the first day as I had not been properly exposed to working in an office environment prior to this week. I enjoyed my time working with your company and it's been a great learning experience for me as I now understand how important it is to have a good telephone manner particularly in the recruitment sector as it could be the difference between being able to close negotiations or lead to its collapse. One thing I found interesting was the fact everyone was working with two screens as I never knew that it is considered the norm in an office environment nowadays but it made it much easier for me to undertake any tasks given to me by Anthony, Jack and Michael.

Another thing I learnt was how important it is to network through an app such as LinkedIn as it can greatly improve someone's career prospects by enabling them to establishing various connections with thousands of people around the world. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to find a potential candidate for a role that had been advertised by one of the company's clients on only my second day! It made me appreciate how hard you guys work to secure business for the company and I also realised that you can't afford to rest on your laurels in the recruitment sector. Overall, I learnt a lot from my placement and for that I'll be grateful to you and your team as I can now take my new found knowledge with me in to the near future and beyond. I wish all of you the best for the future and maybe one day our paths will cross again. I'd also appreciate it if you could thank the rest of your colleagues for receiving me very warmly but especially Anthony and his team for allowing me to work with them as well as Sarah for the gift card which I'll be sure to make good use of at some point.

I take great courage in the fact that I have seemingly made a good impression on everyone at the company especially as I was nervous beforehand. I'll be sure to make recommendations about the company to anyone looking to do work experience in the recruitment sector and I'll definitely consider coming back to Hanson Reagan in the future if I decide to go into the recruitment sector

We were very pleased to have Bradley join us and we look forward to giving other students a chance to experience recruitment in preperation for when they enter the world of work!
